Live Work-Session Q&As

What is the live work-session?

The live work-session is one and a half hours of engagement designed to answer questions that you have regarding your estate planning process. You will be accompanied by up to ten other people who are working toward the same goal. You can submit questions before the workshop begins and are also encouraged to ask questions during the session.

Will the work-session be recorded?

No. The live work-session will not be recorded and we will not allow for individual recording. Even though the information provided in the work-session is not confidential, we are creating a safe space so that people can share freely without worry that their thoughts, ideas, and opinions will be recoded. However, we will be taking copious notes of the questions asked and will provide this information to you in a document format at the conclusion of the session.

Will the live-chat be active?

Yes, the live-chat feature will be active. You can send questions directly to the host or to the group. We encourage you to use this feature during the session. You can also respond to questions or share information that you may have for the group. The live-chat will be available after the close of the session and will also be posted to your work-space for future reference.

Am I required to have my camera on?

You are not required to have your camera on, but it is encouraged. At the very least, we ask that you have your camera on when speaking. This is meant to be an engaging experience and staring at blank screens or your name can often detract from that.

Can I use an alias instead of my real name?

Yes, you can use your alias or a nick-name. We encourage you to respect others and identify each other by the names presented on the screen unless you or they prompt the group otherwise.

Am I required to watch the pre-recorded videos before the work-session?

No, the pre-recorded videos are not a prerequisite to the live work-session. You are able to use this time to ask any questions about estate planning and legacy planning during this time. Watching the videos before the work-session may help to stimulate thought and additional questions, but you will still receive valuable information if you watch them after. We may accept additional questions for a limited time after the work-session depending on what information you and the group may need.
